Day trip to Cameron Highland

One Saturday we went for a day trip to Cameron Highland. It has been years since we went. The road is so winding. I would not go again for a very long time.

 This was our first stop. We are just feeling so happy to reach the top and we stop for snack. No wonder so many people here because this is the first stop.

 We ordered some strawberry ice cream and strudels.

Amber's first birthday

 On Saturday we celebrated Amber's birthday, her actual birthday is on 10 July. Amber is one happy girl on that day. She was so happy going around playing with all the older kids. She is the youngest one there. She was so tired till she fell asleep while drinking her milk.

She has been playing with her car non stop for 2 days straight till i put it in the store room. She is one lucky girl.

Steamboat at home

Nowadays I will do my own steamboat at home instead of eating out at the All You Can Eat steamboat . Reason being it is cheaper and I can buy better quality ingredients. Doing steamboat it's so easy. I just boil the chicken based soup, I add in chicken bone, lots of onion, carrot and tomatoes and boil it for 4 hours. After that if we feel like having tom yam soup based, I will add in the tom yum paste. The meatball or fish ball we will choose from the variety selection sold in the market. Total cost with fish and prawns are just RM25 for both of us. Eating out will cost RM20 per person at least. Plus this is much healthier eating at home.

 

 

On another note, I bought this for Amber at Toy's R Us. Can't wait to bring her to a swimming pool. I tried to fit this in the bath tub but can't. 

 

Amber's first Christmas

Amber celebrated her first Christmas in Bangalore. We don’t have a Christmas tree here but its okay cause she doesn’t know yet. Next Christmas when we are back home then we will put our Christmas tree, by that time she will know what is Christmas about.

In Phoenix Mall there is a huge Christmas tree.

 

We just bought her a toy since now she doesn't know anything yet. Look at her clueless face.

First Father's day & Mother's day

Today my hubby celebrated his first Father's day. We went to QB mall for brunch. Had brunch in Dome and followed by durian ice cream. My first Mother's day was celebrated in QB too at Sushi.

We need to go to Chennai to register the birth of our daughter in the embassy. Thus off we go to Chennai. This will be Amber's first flight at 4 months old.

We check in Marriott Courtyard Chennai. We choose Marriott all the time because we are a member and we get to collect the point. Beside that my hubby has the Platinum card so we got a few privilege such as welcome gift, upgrade room, free wifi and access to the lounge.

 

The huge room. One thing I like about Marriott is their bed, sheets, room are all standard looking. I don't need a very high class necessity as long they are standard it's good for me.

How i bathed my little girl in a hotel? I brought along a large tupperware that can fit her and just simply wipe/wash her up. She look so adorable in it.

My little princess birth

My princess was born on the 10 july 2012 in Bangalore, India. My husband was relocated to India for a year thus i give birth there. It's a very daring decision as you know in India many cases where the hospital got some 'complication' or 'error'. But all is well and my daughter soon to be 1 year old.

I research for many many days and ask around where is the best hospital, best doctor for me. After thinking through and got a recomendation from a fellow singaporean at the Registrar in India, we decided to go to Cloudnine hospital. The Dr that I choose is Dr. Praveena Shenoi. For me I think she is a great Dr. She answers all my questions and when my husband was away to the US for a week, my Dr knew about it she gave me her private number so just in case i needed any help during that moment. She always greet me with a smiling face.
